Air Conditioning Company was contacted by the Inland Revenue at Somerset House in Central London in order to deal with a cooling challenge in their Kingsway offices.
The manager in charge of Enforcement had identified that the staff in the Kingsway offices were getting “very hot under the collar” because they were unable to locate the main controls for their central heating system for the building.
The difficulty was that no-one could find the correct controls to actually switch the heaters completely off!

The brief was to install a complete air conditioning system within a very prestigious basement gallery in a three-storey building in Central London to provide comfort cooling and heating. In this particular instance, the external condenser units were to be roof-mounted.
The gallery is divided into distinct and ‘themed‘areas and comprises of furnishings, lighting, objet d’art and paintings.
Therefore, a very important part of the brief was to keep wall space available for potential display.

The Summit is a period building in the Highgate conservation area, which presented a number of problems for The Air Conditioning Company.
